A Tragic End During Cosmetic Surgery
Luana Andrade, a well-known Brazilian influencer, passed away following complications from liposuction surgery on her knee. The 29-year-old suffered four cardiac arrests after issues arose during the operation at a Sao Paulo hospital. The surgery was halted when her heart stopped around two and a half hours into the procedure. Despite being rushed to the ICU and receiving intensive care, Andrade was declared deceased early Tuesday morning.
A medical examination indicated that Andrade experienced a pulmonary embolism linked to thrombosis. The hospital released a statement detailing the emergency response to the massive thrombosis, but unfortunately, the efforts were not successful.
The news of her passing has deeply affected those close to her, including her boyfriend, Joao Hadad, who expressed his grief and love on Instagram. He reminisced about their shared dreams and the beautiful story they created together, calling her a partner beyond life.
The loss was also felt in the sports world, with Brazilian football star Neymar paying his respects. He acknowledged the sadness of the day, which also included an attack on the parents of Bruna Bincardi, though they survived.
Andrade was a prominent figure on social media, with a substantial following on Instagram and her own clothing brand, Lukand. Her career included working as a stage assistant for “Domingo Legal” and participating in the reality show “Power Couple Brasil 6” in 2022.
