Most personal development programs ask people to choose between working on their mind through therapy, their body through fitness, or their spirit through coaching. But Rilee Astraea refuses to accept that limitation, choosing instead to focus on all aspects of a person to create lasting personal change.
“Transformation unfolds like a story, not a checklist,” Astraea explains. “There’s a descent into honesty, a middle where you wrestle and release, and a rising where you live differently. Our nervous systems respond to story arcs where they feel safe, coherent, and whole.”
From Breakdown to Blueprint
After a successful decade-long career in corporate change management, including strategic roles at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, she experienced her own psychological unraveling that became the foundation for an extraordinary integrative personal development program.
Unlike traditional approaches, the House of Astraea methodology bridges somatics and spirituality with story. The framework emerged directly from Astraea’s personal journey through what she calls “ego death, psychological unraveling, spiritual rebirth, and identity reintegration,” a process she documented and systematized for others facing similar crises.
As an autistic and highly sensitive woman who once helped major corporations navigate complex transitions while wearing her own “iron armor,” Astraea understands the cost of high performance. “My work resonates with people who have carried too much, worn the mask too well, and are ready to lay it down,” she reflects. “But they don’t want chaos. They want a clear path forward.”
That path unfolds through her six-step “Train Astraea” methodology, developed in partnership with her husband and co-founder Tim Brennan.
A Partnership-Based Approach
The framework’s power lies in how Astraea and Brennan’s complementary expertise creates a complete container for change. While Astraea brings her background in corporate strategy, narrative work, and somatic practices, Brennan contributes deep experience in men’s recovery, mindful masculinity, and nature-based healing.
“Our clients aren’t just coached by a fitness mystic or a recovery guide,” Astraea explains. “They’re supported by each of us. Story meets somatics. Nature meets neuroscience. Masculine meets feminine.”
Six Steps to Sustainable Change
Astraea’s framework is organized into three layers: Mindset, Muscle + Movement, and Inner Magic. Each layer contains two steps that build systematically toward full integration.
Mindset – Steps 1-2: Cracking the Code and Naming the Game. The framework begins with brutal honesty. “Cracking the Code” helps clients gain clarity and see their patterns more clearly, while “Naming the Game” involves identifying and challenging silent contracts, shame stories, and protective masks.
Astraea guides the narrative work through shadow prompts and journaling, while Brennan helps clients identify silent contracts around strength and belonging. “In these first steps, you feel relief,” Astraea explains. “You stop gaslighting yourself and see your patterns. When you name things out loud, you start to feel your power returning.”
Muscle + Movement – Steps 3-4: Feel It to Free It and Rewrite the Story. In these steps, clients transition from cognitive processing to somatic release and embodied change. Astraea brings body-based rituals and her signature Somatic SpellsTM, audio tracks that pair her own poetic, affirmative lyrics with music to create accessible, non-performative ways to transform. Brennan grounds clients through nature work, recovery practices, and functional strength training.
“In these steps, you’ll experience physical shifts: stress unwinds, sleep improves, old emotions surface and release,” Astraea describes. “And once you begin rewriting your story, you start moving in ways that match who you’re becoming instead of who you’ve been.”
Inner Magic – Steps 5-6: Setting Your Pace and Owning the Room. The final steps focus on sustainability and integration. Astraea designs daily rituals and creative practices, while Brennan leads community experiences, such as men’s weekends and group hikes. “You feel sustainable when there’s no more yo-yoing between overdrive and collapse,” Astraea notes. “You want to be visible, and you start showing up in your family and community as your true self, more present, less afraid.”
Change That Lasts
The steps build systematically. “Each one opens the door for the next,” Astraea explains. “You can’t live it out without setting rhythm, you can’t move differently until the body releases, and you can’t call it out until you get honest.”
Astraea knows from her own experience and from guiding her clients, “Following these six steps keeps you from spinning, getting stuck, or burning out. It gives you a map that honors both the mess and the magic.”
The methodology is designed so that individual steps can be revisited any time as life evolves, and the sequential foundation provides stability during chaotic periods. Clients consistently report lasting change.
Taking Transformation On The Road
The framework’s success has convinced Astraea and Brennan to restructure their business model entirely. In a few months, they’ll sell their house and cars to live full-time on the road, offering immersive experiences that bring the six-step arc into different environments.
“Eventually, we will expand to offer AirBnB experiences, including men’s weekend recovery retreats in nature, somatic classes at sunrise, and more,” Astraea describes. This mobile approach allows them to integrate their “Soul & Soil” concept, connecting transformation work with natural settings.
The decision represents both business innovation and personal commitment to walking their talk. By living within their framework, stepping into uncertainty while maintaining their systematic approach, they model the integration they teach.
House of Astraea’s six-step methodology provides a grounded approach to change that balances psychological rigor with spiritual depth. It creates a path for those who are ready to trust both the wisdom of their lived experience and the intelligence of their nervous systems.
